Let's make absolutely no mistake about the effects of Prof Elizabeth Paice's attack on Dr Scot Junior. It is nothing short of a disaster for doctors and patients. Pretty much like the effects of her beloved MMC then, so you can't question her for lack of consistency.

This woman appears to be really quite evil. She writes lovely touchy-feely articles about bullying and then threatens powerless junior doctors with suspensions for wholly justified attacks on Dame Carol 'What a Fucking Shit' Black and threatens to end their careers dead if they question the GMC.

I had a teacher, Miss Fish, at school when I was a child. She was forever going on about how much she loved animals. She had posters of fluffy woodland creatures all over the walls and made much of her membership of the WWF. One winter morning, Young Rant found a bird with a broken wing in the roadside on the way to school. Nursing it in a woolen glove, I took it to Miss Fish for help. She sternly refused to have anything to do with the bird and placed it outside in the old where I found it dead at play time. I had learnt a valuable lesson: those who profess a great love do not always know, in fact, what love is.

Doctors.net has been a valuable resource for many years. It would not be going too far to say that it is probably the most successful and useful such site in the world. The discussion forums are somewhere that I have often gone to seek advice on difficult cases, and I have gotten to know many of the doctors on the site both virtually and in person. You could click on the doctor's name and see where they worked and what their post was. You could moan and share ideas on how to protect yourself and your patients from the relentless onslaught that people like Carol Black and Elizabeth Paice have been busy creating from their twin Ivory Towers.

However, all that her changed. Doctors are now rushing to 'close their profiles' and change their usernames so that they can no longer be identified, tracked down, and victimised by the Thought Polaice and Carol-Black Shirts of The Medical Establishment.

Not only does this mean that resistance to the evil changes to patient care will be crippled, but the usefulness of Doctors.net for day to day clinical care will be reduced.

Thanks, Lizzy. You set out on a course that has fucked up medical care in this country and you have taken another great step.
